Job Description Summary:

Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing non-invasive diagnostic procedures in the Cardiac Noninvasive Imaging Lab to detect, localize and quantify pathologies of the heart; analyzes test data; assists Cardiologists in performance of Transesophageal Echocardiography, Cardiac Stress Testing, Elective Cardioversions, and Tilt Table Studies; discusses test protocols and interpretation with physician; coordinates with other departments and providers to provide optimum patient care; adapts established protocols as needed under direction of Cardiologist; assists in training technologists, nurses and Cardiac Sonography students in non-invasive testing techniques; organizes and presents in-services relating to non-invasive testing to nursing, medical staff, and other hospital associates; provides for outstanding service to customers both external and internal, acts as an ambassador and advocate for the Cardiac Noninvasive Imaging Lab to external and internal contacts.

Responsibilities And Duties:

30% Assessment/Diagnosis
Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
30% Outcomes Identification/Planning
Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
20% Implementation/Evaluation
Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
10% Leadership
- Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
10% Operations
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree: Nursing (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

Additional Job Description:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Current registered nurse license from the State of Ohio. Knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. BLS Certification.
