Job description

A Private Practice Built for Rheumatologists

For more than 70 years, Columbus Arthritis Center (CAC) has been dedicated exclusively to rheumatology care. As a physician-owned and physician-led practice serving Central Ohio since 1955, we have grown into one of the largest physician-owned rheumatology practices in Ohio, with two locations in the Columbus metropolitan area.

Why Choose CAC?

  • Physician-owned, physician-led: Join a team of 11 rheumatologists and 12 advanced practice providers making CAC the largest rheumatology private practice in Ohio.
  • True autonomy: Control over how you structure your clinic, the patients you see, and how you practice medicine. A clear and direct path to partnership after 2 years.
  • Compensation + benefits: Competitive base salary with additional income opportunities through ancillary services and productivity incentives, offering a compensation model not typically available in hospital-employed settings. Benefits include a 401(k) with a profit-sharing plan, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, and malpractice coverage.
  • Built-in support: Infusion, X-ray, and lab services are conveniently located. Dedicated prior authorization staff minimizes paperwork so you can maximize patient care.
  • Work-life: Outpatient-only model with no hospital call. Four-day work week. Vacation is self-determined, reflecting the flexibility of private practice.
  • Medical education: CAC hosts residents from Ohio Health and Mount Carmel. Available if you enjoy teaching, but not required.

What We’re Looking For

  • A compassionate and motivated rheumatologist committed to excellent care and long-term patient relationships.

As a private practice built for rheumatologists to treat patients, CAC provides the autonomy, resources, and support to help you focus on what matters most. Rheumatology fellows are encouraged to apply.
