Job description

Barback
Position Description:
Assists the bartender in the bar area including, but not limited to; set up, stock, cleaning, and product knowledge.
Work Performed:
  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
  • Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items.
  • Keeps bar neat and clean.
  • Other duties as assigned such as assisting security with disorderly guests.
  • Removing the garbage at the end of the shift.
  • All other projects as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk during 8 to 10 hour shifts.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds and place items on high and low shelves.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
Required Experience:
  • Work efficiently and as a team
  • Must adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed.
  • Basic knowledge of liquor, beer amp; wine
  • Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with bartender and managers.
Training amp; Experience:
Must be flexible to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the restaurant. Must be able to perform all related duties as assigned. Must be able to legally prove age of at least 21 years.

Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
