Performs skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and installation of various building systems and equipment.

Essential Functions:
- Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures for hazardous materials handling and disposal.
- Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Maintains systems as required by regulatory agencies.
- Maintains accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and other relevant information. Maintains stock, inventory, and orders materials.
- Performs repair tasks on related to the building shell and all systems integrated in that shell.
- Responds to work orders and service requests in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and system malfunctions, identifying root causes and recommending appropriate solutions. Collaborates with other stakeholders and outside vendors.
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Certifications:
- Certification from a trade program, preferred.
- Miscellaneous installation or repair certifications from vendors, preferred.
Experience:
Two years of related experience, required.
