Job description

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Paint and Corrosion Controller to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia.

Summary/General Description Of Job:

The Paint and Corrosion Controller is responsible for coordinating, planning, and monitoring maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely and efficient completion of all assigned work for the SWFLANT painters, Auto paint shop, Facilities painters, Corrosion Control, Facilities Metal, Locksmith/Carpenters, and the SWFLANT Carpenter shops. This role ensures materials, labor, and resources are properly aligned with project requirements, and that work is executed according to contractual deadlines, safety standards, and customer expectations. The Work Scheduler serves as a key communication point between customers, shops, dispatch/scheduling teams, and project leadership to maintain accurate workflow, minimize downtime, and support overall operational performance.

The ideal candidate is detailoriented, highly organized, and able to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple priorities. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to interpret maintenance requirements, and proficiency with scheduling tools and databases such as MAXIMO.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Schedule, track, and expedite maintenance work.

Process material requests and ensure materials are available.

Coordinate access, priorities, and job requirements with customers and trade shops.

Update work status and maintain accurate records in scheduling databases.

Provide workload, backlog, and performance reports to management.

Support process improvements that enhance planning and scheduling efficiency.

Develop, organize, and process outages required for maintenance being performed.

Cross training with other trades

Accountable For:

The proper use of tools and/or equipment needed to be successful in the performance of duties for the Work Scheduler position.

Completing all required training on time.

Accurate, timely, and costeffective performance of assigned duties.

Professional and courteous interaction with customers and coworkers.

Following company safety policies, SOPs, and personnel procedures.

Maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all scheduling and departmental work.

Performing effectively under pressure and managing multiple tasks.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):Mandatory

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have two (2+) plus years of experience with common facility paint systems, such as interior latex, lowVOC coatings, enamel finishes, epoxy floor coatings, and exterior weatherresistant paints. Have carpentry knowledge and sheet metal.

Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements related to painting, blasting, coating application, PPE, respiratory protection, and working in confined spaces.

Computer proficiency in Windows; strong Excel skills preferred.

Experience with MAXIMO or similar maintenance systems is highly desirable.

Valid driver's license, ability to pass background check/drug screening, and U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred

Experience in facilities or preventive maintenance environments.

Advanced Excel skills and prior use of MAXIMO or comparable systems.
