Job description

Position Summary

We are hiring quality individuals willing to learn & help continue our 30+ year vision to improve life safety & security in the Commonwealth. Successful candidates will represent the company in a professional and businesslike manner and be able to communicate effectively with its customers, associates, and vendors. Security Technicians are the service backbone of our company.

NSD Security Technicians operate within four core competencies:

  • Locksmithing Services
  • Access Control, Intrusion, Security Video
  • Architectural Doors, Frames, and Hardware
    • Commercial Aluminum
    • Commercial Hollow Metal
    • Commercial Wood Doors and Frames
  • Automatic Doors & Low Energy Operators

Successful Security Technicians have transferred from:

  • Facilities maintenance positions
  • Locksmiths
  • Electronic security, access control, & intrusion installers
  • Security video installers
  • Automatic door & auto operator installers
  • Commercial construction positions involving doors & hardware
  • Welding and fabrication (Big Plus!)

Willing to Train!

Successful applicants will possess some experience within one or more of our core competencies. NSD will cross-train new Security Technicians in the other areas.
