Responsibilities
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide engineering-level support for the organization's server and cloud infrastructure platforms. This role supports the implementation, administration, optimization, and ongoing operation of on-premises and Microsoft Azure-based systems that underpin enterprise operations.
The Systems Engineer partners with peer infrastructure teams and managed service providers to help keep infrastructure environments resilient, secure, and cost-effective. This role contributes to infrastructure modernization efforts, integrations, and platform initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers and IT leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
  • Implement and support infrastructure solutions within a hybrid Azure (IaaS/PaaS) environment
  • Install, configure, and support Windows Server systems
  • Manage Active Directory services, including OU structure, group policy, and PKI
  • Maintain infrastructure standards to ensure resiliency, scalability, and security
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including CMDB entries and knowledge base articles
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve server and platform issues to restore or optimize service availability
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to improve and extend the enterprise environment
  • Partner with managed service providers supporting data center, storage, and virtualization platforms
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Monitor usage and assist with cost optimization activities (tagging, rightsizing, and reporting)
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, modernization efforts, and lifecycle management activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of experience supporting Windows Server environments in an enterprise setting
  • Two or more years of experience working with Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and core infrastructure services
  • Proficient scripting experience using PowerShell (automation, reporting, and administration)
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical initiatives with competing priorities

Preferred Experience:
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Server/Hybrid Administrator) or similar experience
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and DHCP/DNS
  • Experience operating and improving enterprise environments, including backups, monitoring, and availability features
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or equivalent hypervisors
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and IT service management practices
  • Experience supporting distributed enterprise or manufacturing environments
