Job description

The Office of the Ohio Attorney General is currently seeking experienced trial attorneys to fill two Assistant Attorneys General within our Special Prosecutions Section. These positions are grant funded and will serve in Federal Court as a special assistant U.S. attorney prosecuting criminal aliens (any non-U.S. citizen who commits a crime) with a particular emphasis on fraud.

The successful candidate will have experience as a prosecutor with some federal court experience preferred. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, the ability to triage and prioritize multiple assignments; as well as the ability to work collaboratively with coworkers, law enforcement, and professional witnesses.

One position will report daily to the U.S. Attorney's Office at 303 Marconi Boulevard, Suite 200, Columbus, Ohio. The other position will report daily to the U.S. Attorney's Office at 801 West Superior Avenue, Suite 400, Cleveland, Ohio.

Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code


Preferred Qualifications:

At least 5 years' experience as a prosecutor in federal or state court.
 

Experience in fraud investigation and prosecution.
