Solutions ArchitectPosition Summary

The Data & AI Solutions Architect leads the technical direction of Society Data Store (SDS) and AI capabilities. This hands-on role delivers scalable, governed data and AI solutions in partnership with engineering, analytics, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own SDS architecture across S3, Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, and Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers.
  • Standardize ingestion, transformation, cataloging, governance, IAM, and RBAC across the platform.
  • Lead dbt-based Gold data products and optimize Snowflake performance and cost.
  • Design the AI-ready knowledge core, including semantic/metric layers, ontologies, Graph RAG, entity resolution, and Cortex Analyst experiences.
  • Support the NetForum-to-Salesforce migration and other enterprise data integrations.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions and produce architecture decisions, designs, and roadmaps.
  • Evaluate emerging data, catalog, observability, and AI technologies for alignment with ACS strategy and budget.
Required Experience
  • 8+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or solutions architecture.
  • Production experience with Snowflake, Apache Iceberg on S3, and modern lakehouse patterns.
  • Experience with Snowflake External Tables, Dynamic Tables, Open Catalog, and Cortex Analyst preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise ingestion, orchestration, and transformation tools such as Talend, Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte.
  • Familiarity with governance and catalogs, including Polaris, AWS Glue, Snowflake Horizon, and Atlan.
  • Experience with AI/knowledge technologies such as Amazon Neptune, RDF, OWL/SKOS, Graph RAG, semantic layers, entity resolution, and NL→SQL.
  • Strong Python, SQL, Git, and code-first development practices.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical architecture clearly to executive and nontechnical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
