An Amazon Store is a customizable, multipage storefront that allows brands to showcase their products, tell their brand story, and enhance their presence on Amazon. It provides a unique URL on Amazon, enabling businesses to curate collections of products, highlight best sellers, and promote new launches. Amazon Stores are available to brand-registered sellers and vendors, helping them to engage customers and drive sales with a branded shopping experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Amazon Store Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Amazon Store Manager, you need expertise in e-commerce operations, product listing optimization, inventory management, and knowledge of Amazon’s marketplace policies. Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, analytics tools (such as Helium 10 or Jungle Scout), and digital marketing platforms is highly valuable. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you navigate the fast-paced environment and coordinate with suppliers and customers. These abilities are crucial for maximizing sales, maintaining high seller ratings, and ensuring smooth business operations on the Amazon platform.

Job description

About Pitted Labs
Founded in 2016, Pitted Labs is a leading e-commerce agency that helps brands grow and win on Amazon, Walmart, TikTok, DTC, and other major marketplaces. We partner with brands ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies, supporting them through critical growth phases and helping them become category leaders and #1 best sellers.

Our work spans strategy, execution, and operational support, all grounded in deep marketplace expertise and a high bar for service. We pride ourselves on working with exceptional brands, solving complex problems, and delivering results that materially impact our clients’ businesses.

Pitted’s mission is to build and serve through authentic relationships and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Every team member is expected to embody our core values: Curiosity, Entrepreneurship, Collaboration, Humor, Selflessness, and Success.

The Role
The Account Analyst is the hands-on Amazon operator on our account teams. You know how to get things done inside Seller Central and Vendor Central: building and fixing listings, opening and pushing cases to resolution, clearing suppressions and errors, and keeping accounts healthy. You know where the levers are, which to pull, and how to pull them.

This is partially a client-facing role. While not the main point-of-contact, you will join client calls, answer questions, and communicate updates directly, working alongside our Account Leads and Advertising team.

What You'll Do
  • Build and fix product listings, variations, and catalog data. Resolve listing errors, suppressions, and detail page problems.
  • Open, manage, and push Amazon cases to resolution across Seller Support, Brand Registry, and Vendor Central support. Don't let cases stall.
  • Monitor and proactively improve account health: Buy Box, inventory status, policy and compliance flags, and account notifications.
  • Handle the technical work behind launches and promotions: new SKU setup, A+ Content and Brand Store updates, deal and coupon setup, and FBA shipment and inventory issues.
  • Troubleshoot and fix problems across Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and other marketplaces as they come up.
  • Join client calls and communicate updates, questions, and next steps directly.
  • Pull reporting and run light analysis to support the team when it's needed.

What You Bring
  • 2+ years working hands-on inside Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, ideally from an agency or brand perspective. If you have reseller experience on Amazon, this may qualify as well.
  • Fluency with the technical side of Amazon, which may include listing creation and fixes, case management, flat file creation, catalog troubleshooting, Brand Registry, inventory management, and shipment creation.
  • The willingness and ability to learn new channels fast. Amazon is the core of this role, but we also run Walmart, Instacart, Meta, TikTok Shop, and many other platforms. You won't need to know all of them on day one, but you will be expected to pick them up quickly.
  • The instinct to own a problem end to end. You can take a broken listing or a stuck case and get it resolved with little direction.
  • Strong communication. You can talk to a client on a call and clearly explain what's happening.
  • Organized enough to manage multiple accounts and deadlines without dropping the ball.
  • Comfort in spreadsheets.
  • Authorization to work in the US.

Nice to Have
  • Agency or brand experience.
  • Hands-on Amazon advertising management.
  • A+ Content and Brand Store building.
  • Experience with Walmart, Instacart, Meta, TikTok Shop, Criteo, or other marketplaces.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (Keepa, MerchantSpring, JungleScout, etc) or the Amazon SP-API.
  • Direct marketplace seller experience, either professionally or personally.

Why Pitted Labs?
  • Competitive salary: $50k-$70k DOE
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance 100% covered for employees
  • Flexible work environment with hybrid flexibility between WFH and our Portland-based office
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • A collaborative, high-performing, and genuinely enjoyable team culture
