Zscaler Jobs Information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Marketing professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Marketing professional, you need a strong grasp of market research, branding, campaign strategy, and typically at least a bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field. Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics platforms like Google Analytics, and certifications such as HubSpot or Google Ads are highly valuable. Creativity, adaptability, and strong communication skills help you craft compelling messages and collaborate effectively across teams. These skills are crucial for driving brand awareness, engaging target audiences, and achieving business goals in a competitive marketplace.

How does a marketing professional typically collaborate with other departments within a company?

Marketing professionals regularly work cross-functionally with departments like sales, product development, and customer service to align strategies and messaging. For example, they may partner with sales to develop campaigns that support lead generation, or with product teams to ensure that promotional materials accurately reflect new features. Close collaboration helps ensure consistent branding and a seamless customer experience. Effective communication and teamwork are key to delivering successful marketing initiatives.

What is marketing and what do marketers do?

Marketing is the process of promoting, selling, and distributing a product or service to customers. Marketers identify target audiences, develop strategies to reach them, and create campaigns that build brand awareness and drive sales. Their work often involves market research, advertising, digital marketing, social media management, and analyzing data to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Ultimately, marketers help businesses connect with consumers and achieve their business goals.

What is the difference between Marketing vs Sales?

    Job description

    About Zscaler
Zscaler accelerates digital transformation to ensure our customers can be more agile, efficient, resilient, and secure. As an AI-forward enterprise, we are constantly pushing the envelope, leveraging the world's largest security data lake to power our cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platform. This innovation protects our customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location.
Here, impact in your role matters more than title and trust is built on results. We say, impact over activity. We seek innovators who actively use AI to amplify their impact and who thrive in an environment where we leverage intelligent systems to stay ahead of evolving threats. We believe in transparency and value constructive, honest debate-we're focused on getting to the best ideas, faster. We build high-performing teams that can make an impact quickly and with high quality. To do this, we are building a culture of execution centered on customer obsession, collaboration, ownership, and accountability.
We value high-impact, high-accountability with a sense of urgency where you're enabled to do your best work and embrace your potential. If you're driven by purpose, thrive on solving complex challenges, and want to be part of the team that's helping to secure the AI age, we invite you to bring your talents to Zscaler and help shape the future of cybersecurity.
    The Role
We're looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join Zscaler's ZIA Team. This role reports to the Director, Product Marketing for the ZIA team. In this role, you will be a key driver in sharing our story in compelling and expressive ways. You will collaborate with diverse, creative people around the globe to hone the Zscaler brand, increase awareness and demand, support partnerships, and drive home big wins for the world's cloud security leader and our customers worldwide. This role is based in San Jose, CA.
    What you'll do (Role Expectations)
    • Go-To-Market Strategy: Develop and execute the GTM strategy encompassing positioning, packaging, marketing campaign tactics, pipeline generation, and solutions selling.
    • Messaging & Content: Create compelling product collateral and messaging that addresses customer challenges and drives solutions adoption.
    • Product Management Collaboration: Work closely with product management to synthesize technical outputs into clear, impactful value propositions.
    • Product Launches: Plan and coordinate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and releases successfully.
    • Sales Enablement: Support customer-facing teams with sales tools, messaging, training materials, and collaboration on corporate and field marketing campaigns.

    Who You Are (Success Profile)
    • You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance, but as the raw material to build something meaningful.
    • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
    • You are a problem-solver. You love running towards the challenges because you are laser-focused on finding the solution, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
    • You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback-knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.
    • You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are obsessed with your own development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
    • Experience: 7+ years of experience in enterprise product marketing, cybersecurity, SaaS, or Security Operations.
    • Content Creation: Proven ability to create and deliver high-impact messaging and marketing collateral.
    • Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with demonstrated experience building compelling slide decks.
    • Domain Expertise: Specialized knowledge in network security, cloud architecture, or related technical areas.
    • Education: BS/MS degree or equivalent in a STEM field.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
    • Deep understanding of enterprise security trends, security operations challenges, and managed security services.
    • Demonstrated success in launching and scaling B2B SaaS, security solutions, or managed security services.
    • Demonstrated success in launching differentiated products and driving market adoption.
