Traveling Field Construction Welder

As a Traveling Field Construction Welder, you won't just be welding parts. You'll be fabricating and repairing semicomplex components that support critical construction and industrial operations. Your craftsmanship, accuracy, and commitment to safety ensure that structures perform as designed in realworld conditions.

🛠 What You'll Be Doing

• Performing welding operations using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GMAWP, TIG, and Carbon Arc welding

• Interpreting engineered drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions

• Fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting components to meet exact tolerances

• Fabricating and repairing semicomplex parts from raw materials

• Following redline changes and recommending process or design improvements

• Troubleshooting and repairing consumable failures (spring liners, nozzle insulators, tips, etc.)

• Using hand and power tools including grinders and chipping hammers

• Troubleshooting welding machines and equipment issues

• Entering labor hours into the ERP system (SAP)

• Supporting daily housekeeping and 5S initiatives

• Working closely with supervisors, managers, and peers to deliver quality work on schedule

• Meeting internal and external customer expectations consistently

📍 Where You'll Make an Impact

You'll support field and construction operations, fabricating and repairing components that must meet exact standards in demanding environments. Your work contributes directly to jobsite success, safety, and customer satisfaction.

🎯 What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of relevant welding or fabrication experience (or equivalent education and experience)

• Proven proficiency in:

  • SMAW

  • FCAW

  • GMAW / GMAWP

  • TIG

  • Carbon Arc welding

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

• Experience operating a wide range of hand and power tools

• Willingness and ability to obtain AWS certifications (training provided)

• Mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills

• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with field and shop teams
