Job Summary

We're looking for an Account Manager to support a VP of Sales and help grow a portfolio of Walmart suppliers by owning day-to-day account operations, solving problems quickly, and helping brands navigate Walmart's complex ecosystem.


This role sits at the center of the relationship between our clients, Walmart, and our internal teams. You'll be responsible for keeping things moving, identifying opportunities, resolving issues, and ensuring brands are set up for success both in-store and online.


This position is based in Bentonville, Arkansas.


What You'll Do

Operational Execution & Workload Management

  • Oversee daily Walmart account operations, including issue identification, escalation, and resolution
  • Manage key operational processes, including sales recaps, cost changes, CO-OP programs, DSV, and import initiatives
  • Prioritize competing business needs and coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure timely execution
  • Monitor performance metrics and prepare reporting, recaps, and insights for client meetings, line reviews, and business updates
  • Ensure compliance with Walmart execution standards, including planograms, pricing integrity, merchandising, and in-store execution
  • Partner with internal teams to proactively identify risks, remove roadblocks, and maintain operational alignment
  • Support execution of strategic account initiatives while ensuring day-to-day operational excellence

Client & Supplier Management / Onboarding

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, supporting the VP of Sales in the day-to-day management of Walmart accounts
  • Lead client onboarding and supplier Vendor Agreement processes, ensuring a smooth transition into Walmart's ecosystem
  • Guide clients and suppliers through Walmart systems, processes, and best practices, serving as a trusted resource for operational questions and issue resolution

Vendor & Item Management

  • Create, set up, and maintain items within Walmart systems and online platforms, ensuring product data is accurate, compliant, and optimized for success
  • Manage item costs, Brand IDs, attributes, and catalog integrity while maintaining data accuracy across Walmart and internal systems
  • Identify and resolve item setup, maintenance, and system-related issues to minimize disruptions and support business objectives
  • Oversee both domestic and import item programs, including operational processes such as QMS and Supplier Quotes
  • Partner with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of item launches, updates, and ongoing maintenance

Omni-Channel & eCommerce

  • Support eCommerce initiatives and omni-channel execution across Walmart's digital and in-store platforms
  • Ensure Walmart.com listings meet content quality standards and align with brand and retailer objectives
  • Optimize product content, item visibility, and online performance to drive sales growth and improve the customer experience

Reporting, Forecasting & Financial Support

  • Monitor performance and vendor metrics to identify trends, risks, and growth drivers
  • Develop and manage forecasts to support business planning and improve account performance
  • Support quoting activities, Template/PO file maintenance, CO-OP programs, and new item handoffs
  • Analyze reporting and performance data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate program records and documentation to support account execution and business planning

What We're Looking For
Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in retail account management, vendor management, retail operations, or a related field
  • Experience working with Walmart (corporate, vendor, or agency side) required
  • Exposure to eCommerce, omni-channel operations, or product catalog management is a plus
  • Experience working with forecasting, sales reporting, or business analytics preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Walmart Retail Link or similar retail systems preferred
