    Position Summary...Position Summary
    The Manager, Record to Report – Walmart Manufacturing – Cost Accountant, participates in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves reconciling complex accounts, analyzing financial statements, and collaborating with stakeholders to support business needs. The manager drives continuous improvement in financial processes, risk management, and internal controls while fostering operational excellence. By leveraging data management and forecasting expertise, this position contributes to informed decision-making and effective governance, supporting Walmart’s commitment to integrity, accuracy, and service excellence across financial operations.
    About the team:
    Walmart US Manufacturing operates five plants, including case-ready beef, with a focus on efficient financial management and operational excellence. The position supports the beef sourcing for the Thomasville and Olathe location by overseeing costing processes, month-end closing, and financial statement analysis. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the team ensures accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in financial reporting and risk management. Utilizing advanced accounting standards and data management practices, the team drives effective decision-making and operational efficiency to support Walmart’s business goals and maintain high standards of governance and control.     • Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards. 
    • Reconcile complex accounts involving data from multiple systems to maintain data integrity. 
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including cash flow, balance sheet, and profit and loss reports. 
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial planning, forecasting, and risk management strategies. 
    • Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and implement internal controls. 
    • Manage financial data and metadata to support accurate reporting and regulatory compliance. 
    • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and ensure seamless financial operations. 

     
    What you’ll bring: 
    • Proven expertise in financial statement analysis, including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow correlations. 
    • Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and reconciliation of complex accounts. 
    • Experience with GAAP standards, advanced accounting methods, and regulatory compliance. 
    • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across functions. 
    • Proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting techniques. 
    • Skilled in identifying process improvements and implementing controls for operational excellence. 
    • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and internal control assessments. 
    • Competence in data management and leveraging technology to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
