Location: Allentown, PA | Harrisburg, PA

Note:
  1. We are looking for candidates that have at least 5 years of verifiable experience as a carpenter.
  2. The ideal candidate must live within an hour of our Middletown office.  Overtime and on call rotation is required.

Our Client is seeking a dynamic and skilled Sales Estimator to join their team as a fourth-level estimator. In this role, you’ll create, manage, and execute high-quality estimates across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You’ll work directly with clients, utilizing Xactimate software to develop competitive estimates and manage projects through to completion. Key responsibilities include budget review, client and management communication, and oversight of projects in a large regional territory, with some national client work. You’ll also respond to regional events, including CAT situations, to support clients when needed.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a strong referral network in the local area, with a client base that includes insurance adjusters, community business owners, schools, and municipalities.
  • Act as the primary contact for owners, adjusters, and consultants, ensuring excellent client relations.
  • Accurately scope, identify, and estimate specific site conditions and requirements.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, negotiate agreements, and coordinate with customers.
  • Use company-standard formatting for all estimates, ensuring accuracy for all trades and line items.
  • Respond to emergency calls, coordinating after-hours services, including board-ups, water and fire damage mitigation, and more.
  • Proactively identify site hazards (e.g., asbestos, lead paint, mold) and address them in project planning.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, courteous communication, and timely responses.
  • Adhere to stringent customer service standards, manage timelines effectively, and safeguard client property and information.
  • Attend company-sponsored training, including operations, safety, and Xactimate software courses.
  • Create detailed and accurate multi-level and roof sketches using Xactimate Sketch.
  • Adhere to budgets and manage overages proactively.
  • Stay updated on local building codes, ensuring compliance in all projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate work with trades and management, identifying additional resources as needed.
  • Demonstrate expertise in decontamination, mitigation, controlled demolition, and restoration techniques.
  • Manage personal workload independently, meeting deadlines and maintaining a clean, serviceable vehicle.
  • Complete all required forms for accidents, injuries, or incidents promptly.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Pursue ongoing training to advance skills and stay current with industry regulations and standards.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 3+ years in construction, restoration, or contents estimating.
  • Residential estimating experience over $50,000 and commercial experience over $100,000.
  • Advanced Xactimate training with certification, achieving a high score.
  • Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Xactimate; professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to work well within a team and maintain professional interactions with co-workers and vendors.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Able to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Physically capable of bending, crouching, or standing as necessary.

Our Client offers a collaborative and supportive work environment, with ample opportunities for career growth. If you’re a dedicated and detail-oriented estimator looking for a rewarding role, we encourage you to apply!
