  • Identify and pursue new construction project opportunities within the assigned market.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of upcoming construction projects and opportunities.
  • Monitor construction plans, bid opportunities, project schedules, and market activity to identify opportunities for Tech Electronics.
  • Establish Tech Electronics as a trusted technology partner with construction customers and project stakeholders.
  • Meet with customers to understand project requirements, timelines, budgets, and technology needs.
  • Coordinate with internal estimating and engineering teams to develop competitive and effective proposals.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, bid documents, and scopes of work to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Lead the sales process from initial opportunity through proposal, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations, proposals, and solution recommendations.
  • Negotiate pricing, scope, terms, and other contractual requirements within established company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, customer, and sales activity information in the company's CRM.
  • Develop account plans and strategies to increase revenue and expand relationships with key construction accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and introduce additional Tech Electronics solutions and services.
  • Attend construction industry events, networking opportunities, pre-bid meetings, job walks, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales process and ensure expectations are clearly communicated.
  • Partner with project management and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sold project to project execution.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, construction practices, competitive activity, and emerging technology solutions.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market conditions and provide relevant information to leadership.
  • Achieve established sales, revenue, margin, and activity goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably within the construction, electrical, low-voltage, security, fire alarm, or technology industries.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into appropriate solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
Preferred
  • Experience selling low-voltage systems, fire alarm, security, access control, video surveillance, or related technology solutions.
  • Existing relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, construction managers, or developers.
  • Experience reading construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
