Job description

Company: TurfHub Distributing, LLC.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate/Driver                          Department: Warehousing

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate/Driver will help prepare and fulfill orders. They will also be responsible for transporting artificial grass and supplies from the warehouse to customers in a safe and timely manner. They will load and unload the materials to the customer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Packaging finished products for delivery.
  • Preparing documents relating to deliveries.
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure proper delivery is complete.
  • Ensuring all paperwork/invoices during delivery are properly signed and returned to the warehouse manager.
  • Transport product with company truck.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and warehouse organization.
  • Operating forklift, carpet cutting machine, and company truck.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on forklift, carpet cutting machine, and company truck.
  • Assist warehouse staff in fulfilling orders when not on deliveries.
  • Regular on-site attendance during business hours according to the work schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 1 year warehouse experience or comparable work experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tools, equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry and deliver heavy items.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push 50+ pounds alone
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push 100+ pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to crouch, bend, climb stairs/ladders and lift frequently for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for up to eight hours per day.

Work Environment:

  • May occasionally work in extreme weather indoors or outdoors.
  • May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
