Job description

Boston University Information Services & Technology (IS&T) is seeking applicants with diverse skills and experiences to join our innovative and inclusive community. Join us as a Principal Systems Architect, where you will lead the design, development, and operations of Boston University's cloud-based research computing infrastructure, serving as the senior technical authority for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms that support data intensive research across multiple disciplines.

You will combine deep hands-on operational expertise with strategic vision to architect next generation cloud systems whose impact will shape future University and communitywide research computing decisions. You will also oversee and advance major initiatives such as the New England Research Cloud (NERC) and its follow on projects, collaborating closely with partner universities and industry partners to develop shared research computing capabilities and standards. You will work closely with partner universities and industry partners to advance shared research computing goals.


Required Skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience.
