Introduction

Slalom is a fiercely human business and technology consulting company that leads with outcomes to bring more value, in all ways, always. From strategy through delivery, our agile teams across 52 offices in 12 countries collaborate with clients to bring powerful customer experiences, innovative ways of working, and new products and services to life. We are trusted by leaders across the Global 1000, many successful enterprise and mid‑market companies, and 500+ public sector organizations to improve operations, drive growth, and create value.

What You’ll Do

As an Architect for the Snowflake Center of Excellence (CoE), you will be expected to:

  • Lead a small to medium‑size agile program pod to deliver cutting‑edge solutions utilizing the Snowflake ecosystem and adjacent technologies.
  • Lead development on at least one of the main cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
  • Maintain an active Snowflake SnowPro Core certification and one advanced Snowflake certification of your choice.
  • Serve as the Solution Architect of a delivery pod with a Delivery Owner to design complex delivery patterns, implement solutions, and build components of our clients’ data platform solutions.
  • Lead a delivery pod in Agile ceremonies and design sessions, break down complex development tasks, and ensure timely completion of assigned backlog items.
  • Contribute to the Snowflake CoE, internal capability growth, and partnership initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with other Slalom data leaders to drive sales, recruiting, account management, consulting, and operational excellence across the capability.
  • Act as a Snowflake SME, supporting business development efforts and guiding clients through best practices in architecture, core data engineering, and scalable analytics.
  • Mentor and act as a thought leader, recommending emerging technologies and tools that align with client goals and future‑state data strategies.
  • Bring a business‑first lens to every conversation, driving impactful, tech‑enabled outcomes that elevate our clients’ competitive edge.
  • Embody Slalom’s core values and culture, bringing authenticity, curiosity, and care into every interaction.
What You’ll Bring

As a Senior Principal in the Snowflake CoE, you bring a curious mindset to client engagements, a thirst for knowledge, and a hunger for fearless experimentation to meet our clients’ most pressing data challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data solutions using Snowflake, collaborating with team members to leverage its capabilities.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of learning and innovation while driving best practices in data management and performance optimization.
  • Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and deliver solutions that align with their goals, utilizing Snowflake’s capabilities to enhance outcomes.
Requirements
  • Expert in capturing end‑user requirements and aligning technical solutions to business objectives.
  • Experience leading, designing, and implementing cloud data strategies, including designing multi‑phased implementation roadmaps.
  • Significant experience in Snowflake and served as lead data architect on at least two Snowflake implementations.
  • Expertise in data architecture concepts such as dimensional modelling, data vault, and data mesh.
  • Understanding of data management and governance concepts such as data quality and metadata management.
  • Experience designing data engineering solutions using open‑source and proprietary cloud data pipeline tools.
  • Experience leading data platform development teams.
  • Knowledge of data science and visualization.
  • Must hold Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification and ideally SnowPro Advanced.
  • Experience designing Snowflake-native architectures to support AI and generative AI use cases, including Cortex AI (Analyst, Search, Agents) within a secure, governed platform.
Compensation and Benefits

Slalom offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package that includes meaningful time off and paid holidays, parental leave, 401(k) with match, highly subsidized health, dental, and vision coverage, adoption and fertility assistance, and short/long‑term disability.
