Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Application Developer I in the Central Administration within the Office of Information Technology (OIT).
Under the direction of the Director of IT for Enterprise Student Services and Integration, the Application Developer I designs and implements integration processes between various Rutgers systems and services using enterprise cloud-based services, including AWS, Heroku, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Additional tasks related to the ongoing documentation, maintenance, and improvement of supported web-based applications will also be performed.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Designs and implements data integration processes between various Rutgers systems and services using enterprise cloud-based services, including AWS, Heroku, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
  • Maintains and improves supported web-based applications and integration processes and communicate with vendor support teams, as necessary.
  • Troubleshoots problems, works with staff to resolve problems; works closely with functional users to understand and resolve open issues.
  • Participates in change management and release management activities. Identifies and reports risks, issues, and dependencies of assigned tasks/projects.
  • Participates in test planning, performs unit, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing as needed, and applies performance optimizations.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Plus, a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience required.
