    Job description

At Ripple, we're building a world where value moves like information does today. It's big, it's bold, and we're already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs.

If you're ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value.

    The work:

We're seeking a dedicated, passionate, and eager Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to join our team responsible for leading Ripple's Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) migration program. This is a challenging and technical role, requiring the expertise to synthesize business and technical requirements and the foresight to ensure we are solving for Ripple's current and future security needs ahead of Q-Day. You will work closely with InfoSec, XRPL Core, Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, Platform, Compliance, and Legal to drive a company-wide cryptographic migration across asymmetric ciphers, symmetric ciphers, hashing functions, and digital signatures. You will partner with InfoSec on the high-level strategy, but also know when to get hands-on to push an initiative forward. You must be passionate about enabling teams to invent and deliver security-focused solutions to bold and ambiguous challenges.

    What you'll do:
    • Drive execution of Ripple's PQC program end-to-end, from cryptographic asset inventory through risk prioritization, tradeoff analysis, and migration execution, against a Q-Day-readiness target of the end of 2028.
    • Stand up and own a cross-org PQC working group with named owners across XRPL Core, Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, Platform, and InfoSec.
    • Drive alignment with vendors and partners (custody partners, exchanges, payment processors, HSM vendors) on compatible PQC roadmaps, escalating gaps.
    • Reduce ambiguity and risk by proactively identifying and eliminating bottlenecks and obstacles, raising issues strategically, and making sound data-driven decisions that deliver for our customers based on associated trade-offs.
    • Communicate program status, risk, and progress with purpose and clarity to engineering leadership and executive sponsors, including maintaining the program dashboard reviewed monthly by execs.
    • Be a role model and an inspiring leader for other TPMs.
    • Create technical frameworks that can be used by engineering teams for decision-making.
    • Influence & improve the efficiency of Operational Excellence processes org-wide.
    • Partner with program managers, product managers, and engineering managers to understand development priorities and drive alignment across multiple partners with impactful priorities.
    • Coordinate testing and release dependencies for assigned engineering teams, and across teams as products converge for release.
    • Build migration-progress, risk-register, and readiness dashboards to advise partners and leadership of progress and gaps.
    What you'll bring:
    • 10+ years of program management experience on initiatives involving sophisticated enterprise tech environments, working directly with many teams across functions.
    • Solid understanding of cryptographic fundamentals (asymmetric/symmetric ciphers, hashing, digital signatures) sufficient to synthesize technical tradeoffs with engineering and InfoSec stakeholders.
    • Prior exposure to PQC, cryptographic migrations, or security/compliance-driven technical programs is a strong plus.
    • Ability to use data and analytics to look at trends and lead health of projects and systems.
    • Ability to coordinate multi-functionally, build consensus, and execute across teams. Able to influence without authority, negotiate, and encourage others in a matrixed environment.
    • Experience with Jira and Confluence, and proficiency in Google Sheets.
    • Experience crafting or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
    • Experience in Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, and/or Blockchain ecosystems.
