Job description

About the Opportunity
A well-established and forward-thinking mechanical contractor is hiring a Project Manager with experience in either HVAC or plumbing systems — or both. This is a great opportunity for a results-driven leader with mechanical trade expertise to manage complex design-build and retrofit projects across commercial and institutional sectors.

Whether your background is in large-scale piping systems or HVAC coordination, your experience will be valued as part of a collaborative and growth-oriented construction team.

What You’ll Do
You’ll lead the full lifecycle of mechanical projects — from preconstruction to closeout — working cross-functionally with engineering, estimating, field crews, and external stakeholders.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing planning, scheduling, and budgeting for mechanical projects (HVAC and/or plumbing)

  • Coordinating field labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment needs

  • Overseeing change order management, cost control, and subcontractor performance

  • Reviewing scopes of work, contract terms, and project deliverables

  • Leading internal coordination meetings and subcontractor check-ins

  • Maintaining detailed project documentation, billing schedules, and closeout packages

  • Supporting quality assurance and safety efforts in conjunction with field teams

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of mechanical construction project management experience — HVAC, plumbing, or both

  • Comfortable managing multiple mechanical projects from $1M to $10M+

  • Familiar with construction submittals, RFIs, change orders, and forecasting

  • Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, or similar tools

  • Experienced in design-build, retrofit, or fast-track project delivery

  • Able to read MEP drawings and collaborate effectively with field and design teams

  • A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is a plus but not required

Why Join This Team?

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based bonuses

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Supportive and collaborative leadership

  • Ongoing professional development and advancement potential

  • Access to industry-leading tools, systems, and resources
