Position Summary:
We are representing a well-established real estate development and construction firm in West LA seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, depending on experience level. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain deep exposure to the multifamily construction process, while supporting both field operations and executive leadership.
This role is a hybrid between technical project engineering and administrative support, reporting directly to the company President. It requires strong organizational skills, comfort with construction documentation, and a proactive mindset. Candidates with Procore experience and a background in multifamily construction will be given preference.
This is not a field position; it is primarily based in the office with potential site visits as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Track and manage construction documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
Maintain and update Procore for project controls, reporting, and team coordination
Support the project team with budget tracking, cost reports, and administrative project documents
Act as a liaison between the President and project teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Assist with preconstruction planning, procurement tracking, and subcontractor coordination
Perform light executive assistant responsibilities such as calendar coordination, task tracking, and internal communication
Organize internal reporting systems to maintain up-to-date project progress visibility
Ensure accuracy and consistency in logs, schedules, and quality control documentation
Take initiative to streamline workflows and improve project tracking processes
Qualifications:
2–5 years of construction experience in a project engineering or coordination role
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Familiarity with Procore and other construction management tools
Previous experience on multifamily, podium, or large-scale renovation projects preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and support senior leadership
High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000/year based on experience
