    Job description

    Machine Operator Trainee - Ink Production

    Location: Quad - Chemical Research & Technology (CR/T) Facility, Hartford, WI

    Pay: Starting at $20.00 / hour or more, based on relevant experience and work history

    Schedule:

    • Day Shift: 7:00 pm - 3:00 pm
    • Monday-Friday
    • Overtime opportunities available

    Experience Preferred: Previous manufacturing, machine operating, warehouse, forklift, or industrial experience is helpful, but not required. We provide paid, hands-on training for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and build a career in manufacturing.

    Please Note: This position is located at Quad's Chemical Research & Technology (CR/T) facility in Hartford, WI-not the Quad print manufacturing campus off Highway 60.

    Start a Career in Ink Production 

    Quad's Chemical Research & Technology (CR/T) operation manufactures specialized inks and coatings used throughout our nationwide printing network.

    As a Machine Operator Trainee, you'll learn the equipment and processes behind our ink dispersion operation while earning $20.00  /  hour.  If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to learn, we'll provide the training.

    What You'll Do

    • Learn to operate ink production equipment and manufacturing systems.
    • Load raw materials and monitor production processes.
    • Help produce specialty inks, coatings, and related materials.
    • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment (training provided).
    • Unload tanker trucks and railcars.
    • Monitor equipment and report production issues.
    • Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    ]What We're Looking For

    • Manufacturing, production, machine operating, warehouse, forklift, or industrial experience is a plus but not required.
    • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
    • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work the Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:00 pm schedule.
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English to safely perform job duties and follow work instructions.
    • Forklift experience is a plus; training is available.
