Location Description
Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start.
Responsibilities
Pay Rate: $36.95 an hour + $2 shift Differential (THIS IS A PM POSITION) See schedule below
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment in a safe, efficient, and food-safe environment. You'll help ensure equipment reliability, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement across the plant
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and building systems (mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLCs, robotics, hydraulics/pneumatics, HVAC/steam, welding/fabrication).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams.
  • Complete work orders accurately and on time; help maintain parts inventory.
  • Follow all plant, safety, and SQF/food-safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with operators to identify process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications
  • What You Need
    • Education/experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance (Associate degree or technical certificate preferred).
    • Knowledge of industrial electricity, motor controls, sensors, VFDs, PLCs, robotics, welding, machining, and rigging.
    • Ability to use diagnostic tools (voltmeters, ohm meters, etc.).
    • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and learn CMMS systems.
    • Understanding of OSHA safety practices (LOTO, PPE, confined space, etc.).

    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
    • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, outdoors, and in varying temperatures/noise levels.
    • Must wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.

    Schedule
    • Night Shift - 12-hour shifts starting at 4:45pm
    • Follows a 2-2-3 schedule:
    • Week 1: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on
    • Week 2: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
    • Every other weekend off
    • Includes built-in overtime pay
The pay range for this position is $36.00 to $36.00 per hour.
