Responsibilities

About the Role

Operations Supervisor careers at Post Consumer Brands are considered foundational to long-term career growth across Operations and other disciplines, including Engineering, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Materials Management. This role is viewed internally as one of the most important prerequisites for future leadership opportunities across the organization.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor owns the day-to-day manufacturing operations for their shift and is empowered to act as the plant manager of their building. Guided by our value to Act Like an Owner, this role is responsible for delivering results across safety, food safety, quality, service, productivity, cost, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), while building strong, accountable teams.

At Post Consumer Brands, you’ll find the rare combination of big company opportunity and small company attitude—the resources to do meaningful work and the autonomy to make a visible impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop operations team members to meet or exceed expectations in safety, quality, food safety, productivity, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Own shift-level performance by managing people, processes, priorities, and open action items to consistently deliver business results.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate production activities, including labor, materials, and schedules, to meet demand while balancing quality and cost.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement by involving production and maintenance technicians in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, OEE, safety, quality, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in safe, sanitary, and compliant operating condition.
  • Conduct safety, GMP, and pre-operational audits; ensure incidents are reported, investigated, and addressed appropriately.
  • Support training and development programs, including onboarding, cross-training, and leadership development for team members.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration across shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and alignment.
  • Where applicable, uphold Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements to ensure respectful, productive labor relations.
