CNC Machinist - Allegan Area

CNC Machinist | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Allegan region seeking CNC Machinists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
  • Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and programming.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of a vocational program in machining or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Proficient in operating, setting up, and programming CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
  • Experience with various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and quality control processes
