General Summary:
The Senior Product Manager, OMS is responsible for owning end-to-end strategic vision and execution of Petco's Order Management Systems (OMS) digital products (i.e., software applications). This is a critical role that directly impacts our customers' experience by ensuring their orders are fulfilled seamlessly and efficiently, from checkout to delivery. The Senior Product Manager, OMS leads workstreams to improve customer experience for deliveries, order management, and returns while also driving cost efficiencies and new channel growth through real-time order and inventory information. Generally, this role requires working under minimal supervision on multiple features of medium complexity and/or an entire application. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, strategic thought leadership, and hands-on execution to deliver exceptional fulfillment experiences for our customers.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: (approximate percentage of time spent)
Define the Vision (20%): Develop and champion the long-term product roadmap for our OMS. You will collaborate with engineering, design, business, and operations teams to define priorities and build business cases that align with Petco's strategic goals.
Drive Product Discovery & Execution (60%): Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle. You will immerse yourself in user needs, conduct rigorous analysis, and use discovery techniques (i.e., A/B testing, user feedback) to gather insights. You'll translate these insights into clear product requirements for new features and enhancements, guiding your cross-functional team to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Measure and Optimize (10%): Continuously monitor product performance and key business metrics. You will identify trends in utilization and fulfillment efficiency, using data to inform future product iterations and drive continuous improvement.
Mentor and Lead (10%): Provide guidance and mentorship to other product team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, operations or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or a similar role in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or similar software application development and/or project management experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in an Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environment with a specific focus on fulfillment, supply chain, or e-commerce operations.

  • Deep knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS), inventory management principles, and modern fulfillment processes.

  • A proven track record of designing solutions that optimize shipping costs, improve sourcing strategies, and ensure accurate, real-time inventory availability.

  • Strong technical aptitude, with an understanding of OMS platforms, API integrations, and inventory visibility systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience with incident management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and monitoring systems (e.g., Splunk, New Relic) is a plus.
