OverviewThe Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking dynamic attending with solid clinical and academic experience in General Neurosurgery to join the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Medical Staff of Montefiore Health System. The candidate will have a clinically active practice centered on affiliated Montefiore hospitals located in Westchester and Rockland counties.

Responsibilities

  • Staff neurosurgery clinics and/or faculty practice as assigned by Chair and Vice Chair of Neurosurgery.
  • Participate in the call schedule, along with clinical supervision of all Neurosurgery patients. Perform emergency and elective surgeries.
  • Involved in the education of residents, fellows, and students.
  • Seek out trials of new treatments for neurological disorders, participate in clinical trials, and identify potential patients for enrollment.
  • Perform research as appropriate based on background, experience, and career goals.

RequirementsThe successful candidate must possess an MD and have completed a residency in neurological surgery.  Candidates must be ABNS Board Eligible/Board Certified and be able to obtain an unrestricted New York Medical License.
