Job description

MTSI is seeking a Senior level skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead information system security efforts. This position will support an AFLCMC weapon system program office (SPO) in daily operations to ensure the effective integration and maintenance of information systems across the program office. The ISSO will Provide technical input, recommendations and assistance with the implementation of both higher and granular-level cyber security approaches, methods and solutions that incorporate and maintain compliance to requirements resulting from laws, regulations and other pertinent guidance; advise the PSO concerning the impact levels for confidentiality, integrity, and availability for the information systems; evaluate threats and vulnerability to SPO information systems to ascertain the need for additional safeguards; prepare the final security assessment report including assessment results and findings and initiate a POA&M with identified weakness and suspense dates for each information system based on findings and recommendations from the SAR; develop recommendation for authorization and submit the security authorization package to the AO; provide inputs to development teams responsible for designing and developing organizational information systems and upgrading legacy systems; identify integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure; recommend mitigation and/or resolution options, and keep abreast of current and new security technologies and threats.

Provide network, hardware and software cybersecurity protection to enable secure and continuous operations that enable tip of the spear weapon systems to be developed, tested and fielded to survive and operate in highly contested threat environments.

Responsibilities:
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
• Ensure secure integration of software across survivability, planning, and test systems.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies for SILs, labs, and digital test environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for mission software and environments.
• Support RMF package development, Authority to Test (ATT), and Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Align software integration with zero-trust principles, data tagging, and cross-domain solutions.
• Provide secure data transport, storage, and access controls across multi-level security (MLS) enclaves.
Qualifications Required:
• Master's degree and 5+ years' cybersecurity experience, or bachelor's degree and 7+ years' cybersecurity experience, associate's degree and 8+ years' cybersecurity experience, or high school diploma (or GED) and 12+ years' cybersecurity experience.
Even better if you have these desired skills:
• Work experience in a TS/SCI/SAP environment
Clearance Requirements:
Must possess an active DoD Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility)
