Job Title: Product Development Coordinator
Location: New York City, NY
Duration: 2 Months
Type: Full-Time, Contract

Description:
An apparel/fashion company is looking for a Product Development Coordinator to support the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept/development through production and delivery. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Materials, and overseas vendors/suppliers. You will track samples, fit approvals, material approvals, costing, production timelines, and T&A calendars, maintain accurate product data in PLM systems, and support seasonal product development across multiple categories.

  • Experience supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept/development through production and delivery

  • Strong exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Materials, and overseas vendors/suppliers

  • Experience tracking samples, fit approvals, material approvals, costing, production timelines, and T&A calendars

  • Familiarity with PLM systems (Centric, FlexPLM, Backbone, YuniquePLM, etc.) and maintaining accurate product data

  • Understanding of apparel manufacturing, sourcing, production processes, and product costing

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple seasonal calendars simultaneously

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, Fashion Business, Merchandising, or a related field (preferred)

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with private label apparel

  • Exposure to discounter or club business

  • Experience working with overseas factories and suppliers
