    Job description

    Position Summary

    Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Light/Med Duty Technician/Mechanic! The Fleet Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light to medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Fleet Technician position requires high level of proficiency and working knowledge related to engine diagnosis and repair. Comprehension of Fleet Maintenance operations, understanding of electrical, preventative maintenance and DOT inspection experience and knowledge.  We are also open to candidates with strong experience in Light Duty/Automotive work! 

    Compensation: $30-$32/hr, depending on experience!

    Shift: 7am- 3:30pm, Monday-Friday (Rotating on-call)

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Automotive/Medium-Heavy Truck Mechanic will perform PMI's on all types of powered equipment
    • Be familiar with all major components and functions to include power unit, drive train, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, etc. 
    • Perform diagnostics and selected repairs on equipment involving the summary of components and systems stated above
    • Will occasionally be responsible for fueling duties as a backup for mobile fuelers 
    • Test drive all types of vehicles
    • Automotive/Medium-Heavy Truck Mechanic will train and assist other mechanics in all areas
    • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment. Including but not limited to cleaning shop equipment, floors, and fluid containment areas
    • Must possess adequate hand tools required to perform routine repairs and maintenance
    • Technical education in a related discipline with experience, or on the job experience that includes performing service and repair on vehicles and/or equipment components and systems summarized above is preferred.
    • Valid Driver's License and pass drug test and background check.
