We're Hiring: General Site Superintendent - Construction


LMC Corporation is seeking a seasoned General Site Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities for projects on U.S. military installations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex federal construction projects, ensuring compliance with DoD/USACE standards, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results safely, on time, and within budget. 


  Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate all field operations, subcontractors, and site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD/USACE construction standards, EM 385-1-1, OSHA regulations, and LMC safety policies.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs in Knowify: crews, trades, tasks, progress, deliveries, equipment, client interactions, and risks.
  • Capture and upload jobsite photos and maintain site documentation folders.
  • Conduct site inspections, enforce safety and security measures, and lead toolbox briefings/JHAs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and government representatives.
  • Manage schedules, resolve field issues, and ensure timely milestone completion.
  • Lead weekly site meetings and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Oversee material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce productivity. 


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial or federal construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Prior experience on military base projects (USACE/NAVFAC) strongly preferred.
  • Military experience or prior service is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; EM 385-1-1 training a plus.
  • Strong  knowledge of construction methods, scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project), and federal safety standards.
  • Experience  with digital reporting tools (Knowify, Procore, or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain base access and security clearance if required.
