Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Security Operations Center (SOC) Lieutenant to provide leadership and oversight for our Security Operations Center and field security operations. This position is responsible for supervising a team of approximately 9-10 SOC Operators, managing daily operations, coordinating incident response efforts, and ensuring security programs are carried out effectively and professionally.

The SOC Lieutenant serves as a key operational leader and decision-maker, responsible for maintaining situational awareness, directing resources during incidents, supporting emergency response efforts, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and operational standards. This role requires a professional who can remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and confidently lead teams through rapidly evolving situations.

In addition to overseeing the SOC, the Lieutenant will conduct site visits, support field personnel, monitor security systems, review incident reporting, and help drive operational excellence across the security program.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of SOC Operators.
  • Provide leadership and direction during daily operations and emergency situations.
  • Ensure staffing levels and operational coverage meet business needs.

Security Operations

  • Oversee daily Security Operations Center activities.
  • Ensure compliance with post orders, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate security resources and prioritize operational needs.

Incident Response & Emergency Management

  • Act as a primary point of leadership during security incidents, medical emergencies, and critical events.
  • Assess situations, determine appropriate response actions, and coordinate resources.
  • Work closely with law enforcement, fire departments, EMS personnel, and other first responders.
  • Maintain composure and lead teams through high-pressure situations while ensuring appropriate communication and escalation.

Security Technology Oversight

  • Monitor and oversee CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and security systems.
  • Review live camera feeds and investigate unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Ensure security systems remain operational and effective.
  • Support continuous improvement of security monitoring and response processes.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Review and approve incident reports, activity logs, and operational documentation.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and updates for management.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication of security-related issues.
  • Ensure procedures, post orders, and documentation remain current and compliant.

Field Oversight

  • Utilize an assigned company vehicle to conduct site visits, inspections, and supervisory activities.
  • Support field personnel and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities to improve operations and performance.
Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of Security Operations Center (SOC), GSOC, ESOC, EOC, or related security operations experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, leadership, or management experience.
  • Experience responding to security incidents, emergencies, and medical events.
  • Strong understanding of CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and security technology systems.
  • Experience reviewing reports, analyzing incidents, and making operational decisions.
  • Active Security Guard Card.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Current First Aid Certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military, public safety, emergency management, or corporate security leadership.
  • Experience working in a high-volume or complex security environment.
