IP RECRUITER GROUP is recruiting for the following opportunity:
This is an IP associate or Patent Agent opportunity within an established firm that has been experiencing steady growth.  The scope and responsibilities of the role will be dependent upon attorney vs. agent status, IP experience, and technical expertise

The work primarily relates to patent preparation and prosecution and patent opinions (patentability, freedom to operate, validity, infringement, enforceability).  There is also the possibility for other IP related work (due diligence relating to US patents, trademarks, Patent Trial and Appeal Board), depending on your interests, capabilities, and the ongoing needs of the practice.
This will include primarily US based clients prosecuting in the US, but will also include (i) some work for foreign clients needing prosecution in the US, and (ii) interacting with foreign associates regarding foreign filings in Asia and Europe.  Since this firm has a diverse international client base, any international experience would be a plus.  Most importantly, since you will deal with clients at all levels, you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attorney Requirements:
* Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, biomedical, materials, computer, electrical, aeronautical), physics, or computer science, with an MS or PhD being highly valued.
* Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of technologies, with a particular interest and aptitude for mechanical, electromechanical, and software patents.
* JD, State Bar, USPTO Bar with a strong academic background
* A least 2 years of full time patent drafting and prosecution experience
Agent Requirements:
* Minimum MS in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, biomedical, materials, computer, electrical, aeronautical), physics, or computer science, with a PhD being highly valued.
* Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of technologies, with a particular interest and aptitude for mechanical, electromechanical, and software patents.
* USPTO Bar with a strong academic background
* A least 3 years of full time patent drafting and prosecution experience
Here, you must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment.  This firm also encourages and incentivizes associates to contribute to the expansion of the practice, thus your strong client skills could be well leveraged here.  Fluency in other languages is certainly not required, but if you have strong fluency in another language (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German, Russian), you would have the opportunity to leverage that here as well.
