Key Responsibilities:
Quality Leadership & Strategy:
• Define and execute site and/or regional quality strategy aligned with client business objectives.
• Lead and mentor quality engineers, auditors, and inspectors to build a high-performing quality organization.
• Act as a key quality representative in executive, customer, and supplier engagements.
Quality Systems & Compliance:
• Own and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with:
o ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 (automotive, if applicable)
o ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (as required)
Customer-specific quality requirements
 •Lead internal and external audits; ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory and customer quality standards.
Manufacturing & Process Quality:
• Drive process capability improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Oversee APQP, PPAP, and NPI quality readiness for new products and technologies.
• Lead root cause analysis (8D, A3, Fishbone) for internal and customer quality issues.
Customer Quality:
• Serve as escalation point for major customer quality concerns.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions to reduce escapes, complaints, and warranty issues.
• Monitor customer KPIs and drive continuous improvement in quality performance.
Supplier Quality:
• Partner with Supplier Quality teams to improve supplier performance and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier audits, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive cost-of-poor-quality (COPQ) reduction across the supply base.
Data & Continuous Improvement:
• Establish and track quality metrics (FPY, PPM, scrap, rework, COPQ).
• Use data-driven insights to prioritize improvement initiatives.
• Foster a culture of quality excellence and zero-defect mindset.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 12–15+ years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing or electronics environment.
• 7–8+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong expertise in:
o QMS (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001)
o Quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, CAPA)
o Process and product audits
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles and managing customer audits and escalations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• IATF 16949:2016 certification strongly preferred.
Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) preferred.
Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is a plus.
