This role will be responsible for defining and executing a product strategy that expands our core portfolio of bundling, securing, routing, protection, and identification products into higher-value solutions incorporating digital identification and traceability, condition-aware and sensor-ready components, and system-level integration across cable and fluid routing applications.
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this individual will operate at the intersection of product management, engineering (mechanical and electro-mechanical), market strategy, and commercial execution. The ideal candidate will combine strong product management discipline, deep understanding of industrial and technical markets, and the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical, manufacturable, and scalable product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
  • Develop and maintain a 3-5 year product roadmap for smart-enabled cable management components and systems.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities across key segments (e.g., industrial automation, automotive, electrical infrastructure, fluid systems).
  • Define product positioning, pricing strategy, and value propositions based on customer outcomes (e.g., reliability, traceability, installation quality, lifecycle cost reduction).
  • Establish clear business cases, including ROI, investment requirements, and expected market impact.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering (mechanical, materials, and electro-mechanical), marketing, concept innovation, sales, manufacturing operations, sourcing, and quality.
  • Serve as the central point of accountability for product success from concept through launch and lifecycle management.

Customer & Market Insight
  • Engage directly with customers, OEMs, integrators, and distribution partners to understand application challenges, installation practices, reliability pain points, unmet needs and emerging trends.
  • Translate voice-of-customer into clearly defined product requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of competitive offerings, adjacent technologies, and emerging market shifts.

Product Development & Execution
  • Define product requirements and specifications, including mechanical performance requirements, environmental and durability constraints, integration needs for sensor-ready or traceability-enabled features.
  • Partner with engineering teams to guide design tradeoffs, balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and ease of installation.
  • Support validation, testing, and qualification processes-particularly for new materials, environments, or integrated technologies.
  • Oversee pilot programs and early customer trials.

Commercialization & Go-To-Market
  • Partner with marketing to define messaging, positioning, and launch strategies.
  • Support development of technical documentation, application guides, sales tools and training materials.
  • Enable sales teams and distribution partners to effectively position and sell new solutions.
  • Lead product launch activities including pricing, channel readiness, and demand planning.

Partnership & Technology Integration
  • Identify and evaluate external partners in areas such as sensing technologies, identification/traceability systems, materials and advanced manufacturing.
  • Support build-vs-buy decisions and partnership strategies.
  • Contribute to technology scouting and innovation initiatives.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-12+ years of experience in product management, product engineering, or related roles in industrial or technical product environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing products across their full lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Mechanical systems and materials
    • Electro-mechanical integration concepts
    • Basic principles of sensors, electronics, or embedded systems
    • Experience working across multiple industries such as industrial automation, automotive, electrical infrastructure, fluid and thermal management systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with:
    • cable management, connectivity, or harness systems
    • identification systems (labels, RFID/NFC, traceability)
    • condition monitoring or sensing technologies
  • Familiarity with
    • manufacturing processes (injection molding, extrusion, assembly)
    • product validation and qualification in industrial environments
  • Experience working with cross-functional global teams
  • MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus

Success in this role will require
Technical & Product Skills
  • Strong systems thinking across mechanical and electro-mechanical products
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into commercially viable product strategies
  • Familiarity with product design tradeoffs and engineering constraints

Strategic & Commercial Thinking
  • Ability to identify high-value market opportunities and prioritize investments
  • Strong business case development and financial acumen
  • Skilled in value-based product positioning and pricing

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
