Job description

Groundworks Services is a vertically integrated cannabis company operating across Oregon. We are seeking a Distribution Specialist to support fulfillment, inventory handling, and statewide product distribution.
This role is primarily focused on the safe and compliant transportation of cannabis products across Oregon, along with supporting warehouse and fulfillment operations as needed. The position includes significant statewide travel and overnight delivery routes assigned by management.
This is a hands-on logistics role where accuracy, reliability, safe driving, and strict adherence to OLCC regulations are essential.
What You'll Do
Distribution & Driving
  • Execute assigned delivery routes across Oregon, including overnight travel, using company vehicles
  • Load, secure, transport, and deliver product safely while maintaining full chain-of-custody compliance
  • Verify manifests, invoices, and product counts before departure and upon delivery
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion of all deliveries
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, and discrepancies to management in real time

METRC & Compliance
  • Execute METRC transfers for assigned shipments in compliance with OLCC regulations
  • Verify sales orders, manifests, and inventory documentation for accuracy
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of all product movement
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or compliance issues immediately

Fulfillment, Inventory & Warehouse Support
  • Assist with packaging, order preparation, receiving, and inventory organization as needed
  • Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Load and unload product for distribution routes and maintain warehouse readiness
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work and storage areas

Team Communication & Operations Support
  • Coordinate with Fulfillment, Distribution, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Confirm completed deliveries and provide operational updates as needed
  • Support a culture of safety, accuracy, and compliance across all functions

What You Bring
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to travel statewide, including overnight routes
  • OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit and valid Food Handler Card required prior to employment
  • Must be 21+
  • Strong ability to safely operate a vehicle for extended periods and follow assigned routes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and compliance work
  • Ability to work independently and execute assigned tasks without deviation
  • Warehouse, delivery, logistics, or distribution experience preferred
  • Familiarity with METRC is a plus

Work Schedule & Travel
This is a full-time role requiring significant statewide travel throughout Oregon, including regular overnight delivery routes. Scheduling is based on operational needs, and weekly hours may vary depending on business demand. The role may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended driving periods.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in warehouse environments requiring standing, bending, and physical activity
  • Must maintain focus and attention during long driving shifts
  • Must be able to safely operate vehicles in varying road and weather conditions
  • PPE may be required depending on task or facility requirements
