Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ, Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves developing and maintaining applications within the Financial Crimes technology space. The ideal candidate will design, code, test, and support these applications, working closely with business partners in an Agile environment. This position requires deep experience with J2EE frameworks, databases like Mongo DB, and modern CICD tools.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, modify and/or maintain applications in the Financial Crimes technology space
• Design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for maintaining applications
• Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications
• Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements
• Estimate work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
• Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Handle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades
• Work with a team of Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance are followed

Requirements:

• Typically requires 10+ years of applicable experience
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
• Experience in Mongo DB, J2EE frameworks (MVC, Spring, REST API, Hibernate), Angular, SQL scripting, UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys and Data analysis
• Strong data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning skills to support large-scale AML monitoring and surveillance data assets
• Experience with database intensive development, data migrations, and conversions
• Knowledge and experience working with application performance tuning
• Experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
• Good knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts
• Effective communication and listening skills

Desired skills:

• Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crimes

Pay range: $55.07 - $63.07 per hour
