Job Description SummaryAs a Process Engineer - Engine Assembly, you will play a key role in owning and improving production assembly processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery across the LM2500, LM6000, CF6, and LMS100 programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the product and the people building it - working directly on the shop floor to solve problems in real time, improve processes, and help teams succeed.
You will be a hands-on operational leader, partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate non-conformances, drive root cause and corrective action, and implement improvements using FLIGHT DECK, our Lean operating framework. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a visible impact on production performance and customer outcomes.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work second shift, Monday-Friday
  • Own and improve engine assembly processes to supportSafety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivitygoals.
  • Respond quickly toNon-Conformance Reports (NCRs)by assessing current conditions against engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and determining corrective actions needed to restore production flow.
  • Lead and supportRoot Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)efforts in partnership withQuality, Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, Fulfillment, and other operational teams.
  • Participate inDaily Managementand shop floor operating cadences, using KPIs to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Build and apply technical knowledge, primarily inmechanical and manufacturing engineering, to solve production challenges and strengthen process capability.
  • Collaborate across functions to support adjacent improvement initiatives and share best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted, action-oriented presence on the shop floor, helping teams remove barriers and keep engine builds moving.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
    OR
  • High school diploma / GED with at least4 years of experiencein engineering related to manufacturing processes
  • Minimum of3 years of operational and/or engineering experienceassociated with manufacturing processes
