    Job description

    FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. with some of the best and brightest people in the business! Partner with the best in the heavy-duty industry and apply today!
    Repair and refinish automotive vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames.
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Examine vehicles to determine the extent of the damage.
    • File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
    • Mix polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas.
    • Fix small dents that cannot be worked out with plastic or solder.
    • Position dolly blocks against surfaces of dented areas and beat opposite surfaces to remove dents, using hammers.
    • Sand body areas to be painted and cover bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from the paint.
    • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical window and seat operating equipment and trim to gain access to vehicle bodies and fenders.
    • Weld aluminum and steel parts.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

    EDUCATION & TRAINING
    • Experience with bodywork
    • 2 + years of body shop or equivalent experience

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
    • Welding experience
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in auto body repair; experience in heavy-duty truck body repair is preferred. Experience in fiberglass repairs, aluminum and steel welding and auto painting are required.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
