We are looking to add Production Laborers to our team.  Responsibilities include:

  • Create forms used to build precast concrete sections (e.g. walls, beams, columns, stairs, etc.)
  • Install rebar, plates, mesh, and foam insulation
  • Form concrete using screed boards, vibrators, and trowels 
  • Use hand tools, and power tools (drills, saws, tie guns, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Ability to read tape measure, and blue prints
  • Good communication and teamwork skills 
  • Ability to operate machinery safely
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements: 

Move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projection 

Work Environment: 

Typical industrial hazard varying climates, dust, noise and moving machinery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivery of ready-mix concrete products frequently lifts, carries and attaches onto flop chute extension chutes weighing more than 40 pounds.
  • Vehicle maintenance: performs pre trip and post trip vehicle safety inspection and reports vehicle condition at the beginning and end of each shift with completion of inspection reports required daily.
  • Check all vehicle fluid levels daily and add fluids if necessary
  • Climb ladder to rinse hopper and check the slump of the load multiple times daily.
  • A driver is required to keep his vehicle clean inside the cab, inside the drum, and the exterior of equipment using proper washing down procedures. Keeps outside of vehicle free of concrete build-up using corrosives and brushes at end of and throughout each shift.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested, including but not limited to sweeping, shoveling, and assisting other departments.
  • Must follow company policy, procedures and supervisors’ instructions.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • The employee can be dependent on to report to work at the scheduled time. Employees can be dependent upon completing work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and are conscientious about assignments.
  • The essential duties and responsibilities contained herein describe the scope of this position but should not be an all-inclusive listing of work requirements. Individuals may perform other duties assigned including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent defensive driving skills.
  • The ability to clean all areas on vehicle, climb ladder to inspect loads of ready mix concrete, and hang mixer chutes.
  • Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management.
  • Must be a self-starter that is organized and able to follow through.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Drivers work outdoors most of the time. Weather conditions such as temperatures, moisture, and other conditions have a significant impact on the job. Therefore, drivers must tolerate, with or without reasonable accommodation, being exposed frequently to extreme weather conditions.
