Job Description Mainframe z/OS System Programmer About The Role We are seeking a Mainframe z/OS System Programmer to support enterprise mainframe environments, modernization efforts, and mission‐critical mainframe operations. This role will involve supporting restricted accounts, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities Install MVS software into SOS repository Expert in Software Packaging and SMPE Implement software following required change process Execute MOM tickets for Maintenance IPLs Implement software zaps to extend 3P software Complete MVS Product Administration Requests Support system recovery and DR drills Apply license keys for products Create I/O configuration requests Complete z/OS builds and changes for refresh projects Perform MVS tasks for migration projects, LPAR builds, and decommissions Perform CPU swap project tasks Maintain complex profiles and asset center install records Process SMF data and reassemble system exits Maintain OMVS segments, zFS files, and web/USS server activities Create and support zLinux LPARS Provide SME‐level problem resolution for z/OS and zLinux Perform OS upgrade support and CPU hardware refresh Perform IOGENs and maintain coupling facility SYSPLEX Participate in disaster recovery exercises and audits Demonstrate REXX, Assembler, and ISPF dialog skills Provide 24x7 on‐call support rotation Work Environment Remote United States - 100% remote Compensation and Benefits Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $76,700 - $142,500 . Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
