Job description

Payment Posting Specialist

We are a Medicare-focused DME company specializing in Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM). As we bring our billing operations fully in-house, we are hiring a Payment Posting Specialist to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant posting of Medicare and payer payments. This role is critical to maintaining clean AR, accurate cash reporting, and effective follow-up by the billing and appeals team. This is not an entry-level posting role. Prior DME and Medicare payment posting experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post Medicare Part B payments accurately using EOBs / ERAs
  • Apply payments, adjustments, write-offs, and offsets correctly
  • Identify and flag underpayments, overpayments, offsets applied to prior balances
  • Reconcile payments against bank deposits and system totals
  • Ensure correct posting for CGM supplies (Dexcom G6 / G7), monthly resupply claims, recurring shipments
  • Recognize payer behavior specific to CGM billing
  • Ensure posted data supports clean AR follow-up
  • Identify posting errors that may cause false denials or aging
  • Collaborate with AR and appeals teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate payment logs
  • Support billing leadership with cash flow and variance reports
  • Assist with audits and internal reviews

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Applicants without DME Medicare posting experience will not be considered.
  • 2+ years DME payment posting experience
  • Medicare Part B ERA / EOB posting
  • Experience handling offsets and adjustments
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with DME billing systems

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience with Niko Health
  • CGM billing exposure (Dexcom G6 / G7)
  • Experience posting high-volume recurring claims
  • Prior experience identifying Medicare payment discrepancies

What This Role Is Not:

  • Not AR or collections
  • Not claim submission
  • Not hospital posting
  • Not Medicare Advantage-only
