As a Software Engineer III on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for...
- Break down business and technical requirements into structured tasks, prompts, and validation criteria for AI agent teams.
- Orchestrate delivery activities across architecture, development, quality assurance, user experience, and technical documentation workflows.
- Validate AI-generated outputs for code quality, security, compliance, and release readiness before merge or deployment.
- Coordinate end-to-end software development lifecycle activities, including requirements, build, integration, testing, and release support.
- Support GPS client engagements by accelerating delivery of technology modernization work in public sector environments.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, software architecture, quality engineering, site reliability engineering, or DevOps
- 2+ years of experience with generative artificial intelligence tools, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted software delivery workflows
- Experience using integrated development environments, version control systems, and software delivery tools
- Experience with software development life cycle activities including requirements, design, development, testing, and release
- Experience validating technical deliverables against quality, security, or compliance requirements
- Ability to travel 10-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering
- Experience supporting government technology modernization programs
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
- Experience with test automation frameworks and release validation processes
- Experience documenting technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Experience working with cross-functional delivery teams across architecture, engineering, testing, and documentation
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $131,000 to $218,300.
