Hourly base pay rate is $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an understanding of the automotive industry inspection concepts and methodologies.
  • Serves as senior-level Inspector and subject matter expert in terms of inspection processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborates with auto technicians to handle and thoroughly inspect significantly damaged or otherwise compromised vehicles.
  • Plays a lead role in reviewing inspection reports, identifying material issues and recommending steps to secure positive auction results.
  • Supports team with Inspector training, ensuring team members have requisite knowledge and hands-on training.
  • Inspecting vehicle equipment and options, documenting results of damage, missing operable.
  • Engage with VE Leader and customers to understand questions, issues and concerns.
  • Ensure customer complaints are addressed effectively and in a timely manner
  • Communicates customer needs and suggestions for changes that will improve customer service and better meet customer needs.
  • Daily Audits and inspecting of Priority SLA accounts
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of related experience. OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years' experience; OR 9 years' experience in a related field.
  • Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Strong technical aptitude; body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge; mastery of unibody and full-frame vehicles; good organizational skills needed.
  • Ability to multitask, follow directions and take instructions required. Basic computer skills.
  • Successful completion of Manheim ICP Inspector Level IV written/field exam; Basic Inspections (Electronic Condition Report), Vehicle Grading, Repair Recommendations & Frame Merit Certifications required
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods of time; ability to bend, stoop, squat or kneel; ability to lift and hold at least 10 lbs. at waist level for an extended period; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Preferred:
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive body & mechanical work.
  • 5+ years of body shop, mechanical, claims adjuster, or estimating experience.
  • Prior training or supervisory experience a plus.
  • Ability to train individuals one-to-one and provide effective feedback.
  • Ability to multitask and must be detail orientated.
  • Experience in navigating handheld and other documentation devices preferred.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.

Work Environment:
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions.

Benefits
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
