    Job description

    The Operations Support Specialist serves as a critical utility resource across fleet, customer service, and operational workflows. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day load execution, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and service continuity while flexing across multiple functions as business needs evolve. The position partners cross-functionally resolve issues and maintain service quality while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance overall operational performance.
    Responsibilities
    • Review invoices, BOLs, and system data for accuracy, making corrections to maintain operational integrity.
    • Support daily fleet and operational workflows by coordinating load execution, resolving issues, and ensuring continuity of service.
    • Help develop and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals.
    • Ensure strict adherence to all security protocols, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations, including heightened diligence around sensitive freight.
    • Monitor for and promptly escalate any potential security risks or breaches, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
    • Assist in resolving customer issues.
    • Maintain proficiency across multiple operational functions through enhanced cross-training and skill development.
    • Flex across roles and responsibilities as business needs dictate, supporting broader team effectiveness and continuity.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards, including secure handling of sensitive freight.
    • Communicate issues with Office Management promptly.
    • Network with other departments to ensure quick resolutions to issues that span departments.
    • Execute contingency plans and provide proactive communication in the event a delay occurs that would affect meeting service requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing customer base through strong relationship management.
    • Ensure all pertinent load information is gathered and stored within the system accurately.
    • Analyze service data and customer feedback to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Efficient understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
    • Effective communication skills; verbal and nonverbal.
    • Have a growth mindset to drive revenue and profitability.
    • Ability to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions based on company policies and procedures.
    • Strong organization and time management skills.
    • Ability to lead, direct, and demonstrate in a team environment.

    Education/Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. One year of equivalent work experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
    • Previous customer service experience preferred.
    • Experience in transportation/logistics preferred.

The posted range reflects the full pay band for the position. The expected pay range below represents where most candidates are hired, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.
    • Expected Pay Range: $45,008.00-$50,772.80
    • Full Pay Range: $45,008.00-$69,575.00
    • Pay Grade: 7
