Job description

Position Summary 

The Product Advisor (Decorative Plumbing & Appliances) is responsible for guiding design center clients through decorative plumbing and appliance selections with confidence, precision and a strong understanding of functional requirements and design intent. This role is critical in delivering an exceptional showroom experience, ensuring decorative plumbing and appliance selections are compatible, complete, accurately documented, and initiating the quote process with speed and clarity

Product Advisors work across multiple product categories, with a core emphasis on decorative plumbing and appliances and partner closely with Design Center Coordinators, Project Coordinators, and Outside Sales to drive conversion and client satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities 

Product Expertise & Client Consultation 

  • Lead in-depth consultations focused on all CR brands of decorative plumbing fixtures and appliances 
  • Translate design intent and guide clients in product selections that align with project scope, budget, construction constraints and ideal performance 
  • Identify opportunities to upsell within plumbing and appliances and recommend complementary products 

CRM & Quote Management 

  • Accurately record all plumbing and appliance-related selections in CRM 
  • Prepare estimates and hard quotes for decorative plumbing and appliances 
  • Submit complete, clearly documented selections to Outside Sales for complex quote support 
  • Deliver all applicable quotes within 48 hours of the client visit 

Collaboration & Client Flow 

  • Partner with Design Center Coordinators to manage the client showroom journey and ensure clear handoffs between design, decorative plumbing, and appliance conversations 
  • Support Project Coordinators with cross category recommendations 

Sales Support & Upselling 

  • Proactively identify opportunities to upgrade selections 
  • Ensure selections align with client preferences and needs 
  • Reinforce the value of product selections through education and confidence-building 
  • Support the broader sales team in driving conversion and delivering a highquality client experience 

Success Expectations 

  • Client Confidence & Satisfaction: Clients feel informed, confident, and supported in decorative plumbing and appliance-related selections. 
  • Speed & Accuracy: Estimates and quotes are delivered within 48 hours when applicable; CRM records are complete, precise, and install-ready. 
  • Expert Plumbing and Appliance Guidance: Advisors demonstrate mastery of decorative plumbing systems and appliances, compatibility, and end user application - not just aesthetics. 
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Clear, seamless communication with Design Center Coordinators, Project Coordinators, and Outside Sales. 
  • Results: Strong conversion from selection to quote, information provided to the client is accurate and free from missing or incorrect information, and positive feedback from clients and internal partners.
