Investigate opportunities using a hypothesis-driven approach
Conduct insightful analysis using internal and external data, with the goal of identifying growth and profit improvement opportunities
Communicate sharp storylines calling out key insights from complex analyses
Develop business cases modeling ROI to secure financial approvals, as needed
Identify the key drivers of financial performance and linkage to strategic initiatives
Track results against the key operating and financial metrics for specific strategy initiatives
Follow through work to execution and manage transition to long-term partners
Undergraduate degree in an analytical field from a top-tier educational institution; MBA or MS is preferred, but not required
2-4 years of experience top-tier strategy consulting firm.
Alternately, for those without consulting background, 3-4 years in an analytical and relevant role with exposure to senior leaders
Experience in the Retail sector strongly preferred.
Structured & Logical Thinking - The ability to structure problems in a hypothesis driven approach, to understand the implications of strategic analysis, and to make data-supported recommendations
Analytical Rigor - Capability for conducting quantitative analysis and work with large data sets that need to be summarized, as well as incomplete datasets where practical assumptions are needed to overcome data gaps
Storytelling and Communication - Able to take data from various sources, leverage Excel, Word and PowerPoint to put together effective analysis, recommendations, and presentations
Passion for Retail - A people-friendly mindset who enjoys working with frontline associates, our merchants, and also our corporate executives; someone seeking to put our customer needs first and helping us become the destination of choice for the 'treasure hunt'
