    About the Role

    The Center Store Clerk supports daily grocery operations while helping create a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping experience for every customer. 


    This foundational role supports stocking, merchandising, product rotation, cashiering, and customer assistance throughout Center Store areas while contributing to overall store readiness and operational consistency. 


    Whether you are beginning your grocery career or bringing previous retail experience, this role offers the opportunity to build skills and grow within a values driven cooperative environment. 

    Requirements

    What You Will Do

    • Stock shelves, rotate product, and maintain accurate pricing throughout Center Store areas 
    • Maintain clean, organized, and shopper ready aisles, displays, and backroom spaces 
    • Assist customers with product questions, item location support, and friendly service 
    • Operate point of sale systems, cashier, bag, and support carry out assistance when needed 
    • Support merchandising, promotional displays, and seasonal transitions 
    • Follow food safety, inventory handling, and operational standards consistently 
    • Work collaboratively with team members across departments to support overall store operations 

     What Success Looks Like

    • Shelves, displays, and customer facing areas remain clean, organized, and well stocked 
    • Customers experience friendly, helpful, and efficient service throughout the store 
    • Tasks are completed accurately and consistently with strong attention to detail 
    • Operational and safety standards are followed consistently 
    • Team members contribute positively to store culture and daily workflow 
    • Product knowledge, efficiency, and operational confidence continue to grow over time 

    What You'll Bring

    • Previous grocery, retail, food service, or customer service experience preferred but not required 
    • Strong customer service mindset and willingness to learn 
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and team oriented environment 
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational awareness 
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly 
    • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays 
    • Interest in natural and organic grocery products preferred
